Welcome to The Secret Treehouse! This is a central hub for fanworks of Channel Awesome and its affiliates, both current and former.
Membership is moderated to keep the trolls out, new members may be put on monitored posting at the discretion of the mods. Please don't take it personally.

We have no control over what people post on other websites. These rules are only enforced on the pages we run. We will not be policing fanworks posted elsewhere, on private journals or sites, but materials linked or listed here must adhere to these rules.

Community Rules:

1. Trolling and harassment will not be tolerated under any circumstances. If you have an issue with another community member, work it out yourselves or do not engage. If you are being trolled or harassed by another community member, please contact the mods and we will help.
2. Listen to the mods. They are here for a reason and try their best to keep things running.
3. Do not send fanfic to the people in it. They know we are here. We don’t need to draw attention to ourselves.
4. This fandom is very small and the creator/fan relationship line is very thin. Because of this, there tends to be a lot more drama and more people get involved in it. We ARE NOT a hub for discussing this drama. Unless it’s an issue that directly affects the community as a whole, leave it on Tumblr.
5. Stay on topic. This is a fanworks and discussion site, not a personal diary. Introducing yourself on your first fic is fine, making a post just to say “I’m here” is not.
6. Remember to use the “Read more” cuts for fics and drawings.
7. Don’t use text speak or forced formatting, and put fancy graphics behind a "read more" cut.
8. Use fanfic headers, and make sure to include trigger warnings for non-con, sex involving under-16s, character death, excessive violence, or anything else you think might be triggering. When in doubt, err on the side of caution.
9. Reviewers can and have made requests about appearing in fanfics. These are to be honored both on the community and the kink memes. These cannot be enforced elsewhere but you are strongly encouraged to spread the word, politely. Thus far: Nash may not feature in any sexual fanfics, only genfic. CinWicked is not to be in any noncon fanfics. Iron Liz is not to be in any fanfics where she is romantically involved with Linkara. JesuOtaku is not to be in any faworks. [Note: if you are a reviewer and wish to make a request to not appear in certain fanfics/any fanfics, please contact the mods.]
10. If you see something going wrong, someone breaking the rules, or have any suggestions for how to improve the community, please don't hesitate to contact the mods.
11. [new] There is a ban on fanworks featuring or mentioning Mike Ellis and Mike Michaud. There is a ban on fanworks featuring the site’s behind the scenes issues, controversies, and scandals revealed in the Google Doc.
12. [new] While RPF is permitted, attacks on specific people are not. RPF featuring rape/non-con, torture, and murder are not permitted. Things like consensual BDSM are allowed. If you are unsure of your fic’s content, please contact a mod.
